Carbine Visible Laser
The AN/PEQ-5 Carbine Visible Laser is intended for low-light targeting and target control applications without the use of night vision equipment. The AN/PEQ-5 was selected as a critical element for the SOCCOM M4 SOPMOD accessory program.
The AN/PEQ-5 emits a highly collimated red laser beam for low light applications that is bore-sighted to the weapon using the integrated ballistic adjusters. The range of the AN/PEQ-5 exceeds 500 meters under low light and night time conditions.
The AN/PEQ-5 operates on a single AA battery for more than 25 hours. The CVL can be either remotely activated or switched into a constant “ON” mode for bore-sighting purposes.
