Variant Carbine IR Laser

The AN/PEQ-5 Variant Carbine IR Laser is intended for targeting applications with the use of night vision equipment. The AN/PEQ-5 Variant CIL is half the weight and size of the AN/PAQ-4C. It is also submersible to 20 meters.

The AN/PEQ-5 CIL provides a rapid, accurate targeting capability for personnel engaged in night operations. By projecting a highly collimated invisible laser beam, the laser aim point can be placed on the target accurately from all types of reflexive and unconventional shooting stances for ranges in excess of 600 meters. The low power mode allows the user to adjust the beam intensity to prevent laser splash under extremely low light conditions.

The CIL operates on a single AA battery and is activated by a remote switch assembly mounted in accordance with user preference.
